Material selection: Breaking through the limitations of traditional melon and fruit paintings as ornamental subjects, incorporating melons and fruits from the Western Regions into the independent and specialized category of traditional Chinese painting, expanding the subject matter boundaries of traditional Chinese painting.

  2. Technique Blank: The technique of layered color overlapping combines traditional freehand brushwork with Western realistic modeling characteristics, embodying both the charm of brushwork and a three-dimensional texture. This technique was inscribed on the list of intangible cultural heritage projects in 2021. enriching the system of traditional Chinese painting techniques.

  3. Blank style: Breaking the traditional paradigm of "emphasizing freehand brushwork and belittling realism" in traditional Chinese painting, the work takes life drawing as its foundation to achieve the artistic realm of "combining form and spirit, and interplay between void and solid". The work not only embodies the visual tension of Western painting, but also showcases the freehand brushwork of traditional Chinese painting. Furthermore, it depicts the happy life of Xinjiang people and the prosperous era of the country through paintings of fruits from the Western regions.

  4. Gender theme gap: Guo Ruixia, as the first female artist in the history of Chinese painting to specialize in the painting of fruits from the Western Regions, endowed the theme with a new expression from a delicate and unique perspective, filling the creative gap for women in this field.
